John Luckett, Executive Director
Hello, I consider it a privilege and honor to serve the residents of The Palms at Lake Spivey. My passion for serving seniors started as a child. I tagged along with my parents as they gave a helping hand to the seniors in our rural farming community. As my parents aged and needed assistance, my wife and I became caregivers for them. After about 10 years of being a caregiver for my parents, I decided to change careers from the Restaurant industry to the Senior Living industry. I have enjoyed serving hundreds of seniors and their families over the last seven years. I am committed to providing genuine care and excellent service to each resident of The Palms at Lake Spivey. My wife and I have two daughters. I enjoy reading, traveling, golf and all sporting events.

Sharon Samuels, Director of Activities
Sharon is the Director of Activities for The Palms at Lake Spivey. She has been working with seniors for almost 10 years now and finds it fun, endearing, challenging, and adventurous, but most of all very meaningful to the residents, their families and to herself as well. Sharon and her husband, Scott, have been married for 20 years and have 2 sons of which they are very proud. Her sons, Wesley and Matthew, both play the drums in their high school marching band and work with younger children at their church. Michael also sang for several years with the Atlanta Boys Choir and currently sings with his high school chorus. Sharon is a nature enthusiast and in her leisure time can be found traveling to area parks, lakes, gardens and the mountains. Her dream is to travel to Colorado, Yellowstone National Park, Martha’s Vineyard, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
